Crabs in a barrel mentality.

It’s a metaphor, so it’s isn’t the statement it’s the meaning behind it. Right? So one day I watched a 85 south show with DC Young Fly, Chico Bean and the other brother lol. Can’t remember name as I live right my blogs.

They did an interview with a brotha called Ali Siddiq, and one part always stool with me. He stated that the funny part is, that’s crabs don’t belong in a barrel!

Ok let’s state again crabs don’t belong in a barrel. Meaning how did the crabs get in the barrel?

The thing with crabs that we mistake for them trying to hold each other down isn’t a actual fact. Like when you pull one crab out and another one attaches to it. No! Crabs do that for a certain reason…

So that they never leave a man behind. So crabs attach to each other so that when hunted by prey it’s harder to get one when they all are attached to each other when ones in danger.

So again how do the crabs actually get in a barrel. Because they are captives. A captive is a person or thing that is held against they will.

Ok so I’m real life how does it go…

Here how: A person or thing (aka animals let’s say) is hungry and one day went to water seen a crab ate it and was like this is food source.

So then a human or logical thinking feature was like “ How do I get more of these tasty crabs to kill, eat and hold captive. They devised a plan, how about we make a cage then add bait and lure the crabs in and then when they sense danger they grab on to each other so now we get more at one time or one trap or BARREL!

And if that didn’t make it someplace then let’s get real. We have as a Blk culture been tricked into a Desiree mentality by not understanding the schematics of the situation.

We are the crabs. And someone has lured us in a barrel but changed the meaning of why we attach to each other…

They have made it seem like we are holding each other back and technically we aren’t. We are just sensing the danger ahead (yt ppl) the fisher man… lol

Then they made it seem like yo bro you holding me back from freedom and only thing you was heading to was a dish… DEATH.

So ask your self….

What Am I? The fisherman The crab or the Barrel…?
